In Memoriam
This page is dedicated to members of the West Sussex Centre that have passed away and is intended as a place that we can remember our friends that have been taken far too soon.

Terry Jackman was a West Sussex committee member from October 2008 until October 2012 together with his wife Chris. They were an integral part of the centre for a number of years and picked up several rallies when organisers could not be found.
Between them, they arranged some fantastic themed events. The Christmas rally (in July) was one of the most memorable and talked about rallies. A keen cook, Terry was full of ideas and suggestions. He made a big steel container for one of his rallies and, ably assisted by Chris, cooked and served several bacon roly poly dinners, complete with vegetables, all in the middle of a field with no EHU. He and Chris also cooked a complete roast dinner in a school corridor for one of our New Year rallies, not an easy task! The Mad Hatters tea party was another great event at Orchard Farm.
In 2017, Terry and Chris had to give up caravanning following an unfortunate caravan accident but they have remained in contact with several of our centre members and often visit rallies if they are in the vicinity.
Terry experienced a number of good years following his Kidney transplant but recently, his health deteriorated and he spent a number of weeks in hospital before his death.
Terry passed away on 21st April 2025 but will be remembered fondly by those who knew him.

With a heavy heart we've been asked to let you know that brave, strong Dave Massey our friend of some years now, passed away earlier this morning with Sue and Sara by his side. What a guy, we have shared so many memories and laughter over the years with them all and he will be sadly missed.
Sue has asked that we share this with all the many friends who knew them both through our caravan club.
Our thoughts are with Sue, Sara and their family at this heartbreaking time.
RIP dear friend, go rock those tunes you loved to listen to.

It is with great sadness that Fran Phillips sadly lost her long battle with cancer, she passed peacefully at St Barnabas hospice in Worthing with her family around her.
She was a beacon of the club and a wonderful former chairperson.
The clubs thoughts are with Scott, Tia, Dean, Freda, Pete and Paul.
